FAQs
Q. What do I wear?
Please wear clothes that you feel comfortable in and can move in. We do ask that you wear a top with sleeves for hygiene reasons and try to avoid wearing clothes with sequins, gems, glitter and zips as these may snag the material. We do ask that you remove all watches and jewellery from the hands, arms and neck for the same reason. If you have rings that don’t come off then we can cover them over with some tape.
Q. Do you do Aerial Yoga bare foot?
You will be asked to remove your shoes for class. You can do the class bare foot if you choose to, many people do prefer to wear socks. It is up to you which you prefer.
Q. What happens if I am late to class?
If you are late for class then you won’t be able to join in as it’s disruptive to the other members of the class who will be in their meditation. We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of class so that you are ready to go at the start time.
Q. Who should not do Aerial Yoga?
Aerial Yoga is not recommended for people with the following medical conditions- recent back or shoulder surgery, recent eye surgery, glaucoma, labyrinthitis, vertigo, severe arthritis, pregnancy, recent stroke, uncontrolled heart disease or uncontrolled high/low blood pressure.
You also shouldn’t do Aerial Yoga within 48 hours of having Botox.
Q. Will the equipment hold my weight?
All of our equipment has a load limit of 130kg (20 stone). So anyone up to this weight will be perfectly fine on our equipment.
Just a note – the load limit is not the point at which the equipment will break, it will all actually hold a lot more before reaching it’s breaking point so there is no need to worry about equipment breaking while you are using it.
Q. Do I need to bring my own mat?
We have yoga mats available for all to use but you are very welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer to.
