Seren

Yoga was something that Seren fell into more than sought out. With a background in Aerial Fitness she was always seeking ways to improve her flexibility, thus started her unplanned journey into yoga. She would use various asanas to improve flexibility and mobility over the years not realising they were yoga postures. After a few years of this she decided to give some online classes and one in person class a go, but at that time yoga didn’t stick for her.  She ended up with a very inconsistent practice and no real understanding of yoga’s rich history and philosophy. Then came covid. When regular aerial classes came to a halt and with anxiety becoming more palpable day to day Seren knew she needed to do something to help her body and mind. So she decided to try again. With hours stuck in her flat with a yoga mat she slowly began to practice. After a year it had become clear to her that she wanted to deepen her knowledge of yoga further so she signed up for a 200hr hatha yoga course at a yoga school nearby. She was worried and feeling wildly unprepared, seeing as she’d only practiced online and been to one in person class in her. The next 9 months allowed her to dive deep into meditation, asanas, history, philosophy, physiology and anatomy so that in September of 2022 she became a fully certified yoga teacher. Since then she’s been sharing the practice of yoga and will now be combining it with her love for aerial by exploring a different kind of movement practice.
