Waiver and General Ts&Cs

Luna Aerial yoga sessions have been designed for apparently healthy adults. They involve activities both on and around the yoga hammock including static poses, stretches and inversions. The session has been designed to improve flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, confidence, mindfulness, balance and general fluidity of movement. We will be working with the breath so this can help to improve lung function. The session will begin with some mobilisation and finish with a savasana and meditation in the hammock.

All activities will be demonstrated and explained to you during the session. If at any point you feel you should not participate in part of the session please notify your instructor.

With any exercise activity there will be an element of risk, such as feeling tired and achy muscles. With Aerial Yoga classes there is the additional risk of bruising or burning which is caused by friction between the equipment and the skin and possibly compression bruising due to the wrapping of the fabric around different parts of the body. It is also possible to experience some motion sickness and/or dizziness when you first start Aerial Yoga classes. This will usually reduce over time with prolonged practice. This session has been designed in a way to minimise the risks involved. If at any time during the session you feel excessive discomfort you should stop the activity and inform your instructor.

Class Terms and Conditions

All classes at Luna are 1 hour in length. You will have your own yoga hammock, set to your height, for the duration of class. Yoga mats, bolsters, blocks and straps will be provided when required but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Booking:

All of Luna’s classes are booked on a first come first served basis.

To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking as early as possible because our classes can be very popular and can fill up quickly.

Luna reserves the right to cancel any class if necessary. If this occurs, then you will not be charged for the class and any monies paid or class credits used will be added to your booking account as credit to be used against an alternative class.

All classes are subject to sufficient numbers.

Payment:

As spaces are limited in all of our classes, we require full payment in advance to guarantee spaces.

All payments are non-refundable. Should you wish to amend a booking Luna requires 24 hours notice prior to the start of the booked class to amend that booking. After this point all bookings are non-transferrable.

Once a class has been booked and paid for, reimbursement for a lack of attendance is not offered.

As Luna is a small, self-funded entity, we cannot afford non-payment. Please be advised that we will seek legal advice for non-payment of fees.

Lateness and Absence:

On your first class please arrive 15 minutes before the start of class so that we may show you around. Thereafter please make sure you arrive 10 minutes before the start of class so that you are ready to start on time and the yoga hammock can be set to your height.

If you struggle with anxiety or any other condition that affects your ability to come into a new place please get in touch in advance and we will arrange to either come outside to meet you and bring you in or some other method to help you access our space.

If you know you are going to be late please contact Luna on 07791 177431 or 07803 480817 to let us know.

If you arrive late you will not be allowed to participate and will not receive a refund for that class.

Non-attendance of a class will result in the loss of that class and any monies paid or class pack credits used.

General Rules:

Luna operate a friendly studio where everyone should feel welcome and comfortable, we do not tolerate any bullying or unpleasantness in our classes towards either our students or staff. If anyone is in breach of this then they will be asked to leave the class and will not be entitled to a refund.

Prior to your first class you will be required to complete a small physical activity readiness questionnaire (PAR Q) this is to ensure your safety when you are training. This is done on the booking system at the time of booking. If our instructors have any concerns based on this they may request that you get approval for training by your GP first. In the rare event that Luna instructors feel that it would be detrimental to your health to complete the class they will either recommend an alternative or refund your money. If you have any questions or concerns about this just ask a member of our team.

Participants should wear the appropriate clothing for class. For aerial yoga this would be tight fitting bottoms such as leggings, a long sleeved top or t-shirt. This also includes bare feet or socks and the removal of jewellery including watches, bracelets and dangly earrings.

Valuables should be left at home. Luna accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal items brought into the studio.

Water and a small hand towel would be an advantage.

We request that mobile phones are on silent mode for the duration of class.

To avoid injury we request that you only use the equipment as directed by your instructors.

We ask that you familiarise yourselves with our emergency procedures and location of exits, fire extinguishers and first aid kit. These will be pointed out on your first session.

Luna is a no smoking environment. Anyone found to be breaching this will be fined £200. We request that you leave the premises should you need to smoke.

Luna do not allow any alcohol, drugs or other mind altering substances onto the premises. Should anyone be found to be in breach of this rule you will be required to leave with no refund. Also, none of these should be consumed prior to class. If our instructors have any concerns about a participant’s capability to train safely they will asked to leave with no refund.

Also please make the class aware that you are filming/taking photographs and make sure anyone that may be in the background is aware so that they can move if they do not wish to be in the background. If your taking photos or filming is disruptive to the class then we will ask you to stop, e.g. if it is preventing others from training as they are trying to avoid being filmed or photographed.
